Skiing Injury

Inherent risks (e.g., changing weather, terrain variations, collisions with natural objects/other skiers, surface conditions) bar claims; non-inherent negligence includes lift failures, unmarked man-made hazards (snow guns, snowmobiles), poor grooming, or unsafe signage. Resorts must mark closed runs, maintain lifts/padding, patrol collisions, and warn of avalanche risks; uphill skier yields to downhill. Waivers don't shield statutory violations (e.g., lift safety boards) per 2024 Supreme Court ruling.
